Material based on peroxides is used to remove intrinsic and extrinsic stains and tooth discoloration. Various bleaching agents have been used clinically. Gel formulations of hydrogen and carbamide peroxide are the most used in the clinic today. The bleaching effect of these formulations on the tooth is mostly dependent on time and concentration.
