This study was done with two equal groups of subjects, one is the experimental group and the other is the control group. The subjects in the experimental group were taught by the technique of teaching listening comprehension reinforced by reading of the same text. For the control group, the subjects were taught by the technique of teaching listening comprehension without the reinforcement from reading text. The purpose of this study is to determine that which of these two different teaching techniques can be used more effectively in teaching listening comprehension and to determine the subject's attitudes towards the technique of teaching listening comprehension reinforced by reading of the same text. From this study, it is found that the technique of teaching English listening skill reinforced by reading can be used more effectively in improving students listening ability than the technique without the reinforcement from reading. The findings of this study should be profitable in improving the technique of teaching English listening comprehension for Thai students and should be useful for further study about the teaching of listening skill as well.ix, 195 leavesapplication/pdfengผลงานนี้เป็นลิขสิทธิ์ของมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ขอสงวนไว้สำหรับเพื่อการศึกษาเท่านั้น ต้องอ้างอิงแหล่งที่มา ห้ามดัดแปลงเนื้อหา และห้ามนำไปใช้เพื่อการค้าComprehensionEnglish language -- Study and teachingListeningReadingAn experimental study of teaching listening comprehension reinforced by reading skillMaster ThesisMahidol University
