Various techniques such as iris painting and digital imaging have been introduced for fabricating an ocular prosthesis, although these techniques pose several limitations. A cost-effective method of fabricating a custom ocular prosthesis, utilizing easily accessible household materials such as sewing thread and cellulose acetate sheets, is described.
