English language has been considered as the global language and it has become the most important language for all second language learners around the world. Therefore, there are several problems occur as the second language learners, especially Thai students, start studying English when they were young but they are not influenced in using English language. Two main problems are that they cannot remember the vocabularies and they cannot use the suitable words to form the sentences. In order to response to these problems, the proposed mobile application, called Woocabulary, has been developed to support learners to memorize the vocabularies, to understand the meaning of the words, and to correctly construct the English sentences. The innovation of the project is that the proposed mechanism has formulated the relationship (called word association) between the words and formed the words’ structure indicating the words’ sequences supporting learners to perform the learning activities. As the results, learners can learn and remember the vocabularies from the suggested words’ sequences, until they can improve their English skills.Mahidol UniversityComputer ScienceEngineeringThe design and development of the vocabulary learning system for second language learners using word associationConference PaperSCOPUS10.1109/ICT-ISPC.2017.8075295
