Nonetheless, a comprehensive review of research in this field has been lacking. This bibliometric review aims to fill this gap by analyzing 131 Scopus-indexed documents spanning from 2004 to 2023. The descriptive analysis uncovered a growing body of literature, with a predominant contribution from the United States. Citation analyses further identified influential scholars, institutions, and sources, enhancing our understanding and advancing knowledge in this domain. The keyword cooccurrence analysis highlighted key topics and conceptual foci, including project-based learning, ethics and social responsibility, graduate education and research, capstone courses, and first-year engineering. Additionally, the study identified research fronts in areas such as learning outcomes, multidisciplinary teamwork, renewable energy, and food security.MathematicsPsychologySocial SciencesEngineeringDecision SciencesAt the Intersection of Service Learning and Engineering Education for Sustainable Development: A Bibliometric Review of Research (2004-2023)Conference PaperSCOPUS10.1109/iSTEM-Ed62750.2024.106631412-s2.0-85198494843
