Comparison is made between the attenuation coefficient obtained on the basis of the local spin-fluctuation (LSF) description of the system and the coefficient obtained on the basis of a high-TK Kondo impurity description of the system. It is seen that the LSF-based transverse attenuation coefficient can give a reasonable fit to the observed attenuation in superconducting ZnMn alloys (which are alloys lying very close to the magnetic-to-nonmagnetic transition), while the high-TK Kondo-description- based coefficient cannot. © 1986 The American Physical Society.Mahidol UniversityPhysics and AstronomyTransverse attenuation coefficients for superconductors containing transition-metal impuritiesArticleSCOPUS10.1103/PhysRevB.33.197
