Since leadership is a culture bound concept and the Rhineland leadership is Western-derived, this paper develops a corporate sustainability model for future testing in Asian economies. A systematic review that covers empirical research on Rhineland leadership in firms in Thailand which has been published between 2011 and 2016 in academic journals has been conducted. A content analysis has been carried out by comparing and contrasting the findings. Gaps between the Western-derived Rhineland leadership and the examined practices in Thai companies are identified and discussed. Accordingly, 16 hypotheses and a structural model are derived for future research. This paper contains the first research-derived Asian model on corporate sustainability.Mahidol UniversityBusiness, Management and AccountingA Thai Rhineland leadership model: In search for corporate sustainability model for AsiaArticleSCOPUS10.1504/IJBEX.2017.085792
