In particular, it analyses how traditional Thai values of citizenship and subjecthood were significantly challenged by human rights ideas brought to Thai public discussion through youth-led pro-democracy movements of the early 2020s. Youth have both made demands based on human rights and democratic principles and invited the Thai public to engage in redesigning forms of social relationships, based on ideas of equality and sovereign power of the people.Social SciencesArts and HumanitiesYOUTH MOVEMENTS AND EVOLVING DISCOURSES OF HUMAN RIGHTS IN THAILANDBook ChapterSCOPUS10.4324/9781003413813-322-s2.0-105018286950
