This survey used questionnaires as a tool to collect data from 120 male delinquents selected by simple random sampling method from training and teaching centers for delinquents such as Baan Karuna, Baan Muthita, Baan Ubegkha and Baan Kanjanapisek, Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection, Ministry of Justice,Thailand. Data was analyzed and evaluated by using The Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS/PC+). Statistics applied in this research were percentage, frequency, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and analysis of Chi- Square. According to personal data, the sample group was generally aged between 17 - 19 years old and their first offense was usually committed before they were 15 years of age. Mostly, the sample group's habitation was located in Bangkok. In addition they were usually graduates of secondary school and their income was higher than 3000 baht per month. They were likely to be hot-tempered, easily angered, from a good family background and living with their parents. The parents commonly have elementary education and work as employees. From drinking behavior data, 108 consumed alcohol and 12 did not consume alcohol at all. For these who consumed alcohol, they stated that they first began drinking out of curiosity stemming from their fathers' and friends' drinking and smoking behavior. Of the sample, 68 had committed murder and had committed the crime alone, and were sentenced to 3 to 4 years. The cause of the crime was emotional, and the consumption of alcohol was also involved. The majority of the juvenile delinquents did not have a weapon while offending and their crime was not planned. In conclusion, a significant number of the sample had different drinking behaviors from the majority and it did not affect their criminal act differently. Drinking was not the main affect on the crime the drives are temper condition and environment.
