The study measures the effectiveness from a student perspective of these two VLEs (Moodle and Edmodo), currently being used to manage English as a foreign language (EFL) classes at a university in Thailand. Data were collected with a mixed-methods research paradigm. Altogether, 172 students responded to a survey and from this group, 22 students participated in an interview or focus group dealing with their experience of the two VLEs.
