Currently, the concept on pain management with multimodal analgesia and regional anesthesia plays a key role for postoperative analgesia and has demonstrated the ability of enhancing postoperative recovery, reducing opioids consumption, and decreasing the time to mobilization. Nonetheless, the development of new regional analgesic techniques has evolved in the past four decades and can be intimidating to the general anesthesiologists.
