The objectives were 1) to study thepolitician's ethical principles and the attitudes to Buddhist ethics, and 2) to studythe politician's ethical principles from the Buriram politicians' attitudes. The results for the first objective found that ethics and politics were inseparable. The politicians should follow their own religious ethic. To Buddhism, research defined the politician's ethical principles as follows Charkrawatdhiwatra 12, Thodsapitrajadham 10, Aparihaniyadham 7, Sabpurisadham 7, Sila 5, Akhati 4, Promwiharn 4, Rajasangkhahawatthu 4, Athipathai 3, Kharawasadham 4, Bunkiriyawatthu 3, and Sabpurisabanyat 3. Research for the second objective found that the samples' attitudes towardethics appearing in Buddhism had several points. Firstly, all of the politiciansagreed that Buddhist ethics were necessary and important for a politicians'governing and administration because it makes the politicians moral, honest, devoted, ashamed, punctual, and nice. Secondly, when the politicians were accusedof seeking benefits from a legal loop-hole, all of them felt quite negative. However, they were classified following their viewpoint into two groups, the first groupaccepted that some politicians acted as per the accusation; whereas, another grouprefused all accusation. They believed that the majority of politicians were devoted;moreover, they had enough ability and knowledge to care for their families aswell.Thirdly, it was found that the moral politician follows the Buddhist Dhamma orethics. Fourthly, it was found that the Buddhist ethical principles assisted thepolitician to sucessfully work and administer. Fifthly, it was found that the criteriato specify the politician's ethical standards according to Buddhist ethics werehonest, true speech, just thought, devoted, great obedience, avoiding the Four WorstWays, and they maintain their behavior to the right way and are ashamed of evils. This study can give us a suggestion that the cause of political crisis comesfrom politicians' lacking ethics; therefore, politicians can stop the problem byapplying or following Buddhist ethics(ช), 132 แผ่นapplication/pdfthaผลงานนี้เป็นลิขสิทธิ์ของมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ขอสงวนไว้สำหรับเพื่อการศึกษาเท่านั้น ต้องอ้างอิงแหล่งที่มา ห้ามดัดแปลงเนื้อหา และห้ามนำไปใช้เพื่อการค้าจริยศาสตร์นักการเมืองนักการเมือง -- ไทย -- บุรีรัมย์พุทธจริยธรรมพุทธศาสนากับการเมือง -- ไทย -- บุรีรีมย์หลักจริยธรรมนักการเมืองในพุทธจริยศาสตร์ : ศึกษาทรรศนะของนักการเมืองในจังหวัดบุรีรัมย์The politician's Buddhist ethical principles : a case study o thef attitudes of politician in Buriram provinceMaster Thesisมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล
