Functional electrical stimulation has been introduced for over five decade to help paralyzed patients regain some lost functions. The technology, however, still does not exist in Thailand. The high cost of imported devices makes it unaffordable for most Thai people. The purpose of this project is to develop the FES technology for the country. Our device IS a common peroneal nerve stimulator for foot-drop correction. The project was initiated by multidisciplinary afford among researchers at Mahidol University. We are mass producing the low-cost portable FES devices for Thai people.Mahidol UniversityEngineeringDevelopment and distribution of functional electrical stimulator for foot drop for ThaisConference PaperSCOPUS10.1109/BMEiCON.2015.7399565
