This paper proposed an assistive device based BCI system to serve persons with severe disability for communication enhancement. Using NeuroSky EEG headset wireless system was employed to acquire the EEG signal and send to a control unit for command generating. Moreover, the proposed system has to concern a beginning user. Neurofeedback training was utilized to train user to control the attention. Moreover, visual feedback can help for teaching the attention creation. The result reported an accuracy of the proposed system with its neurofeedback training and real-time feedback is ranged on 83.3% to 100% higher accuracy than proposed system without feedback. The average time for one command is ranging between 3.28 to 4.82 second. Therefore, the proposed system achieved a high performance that can use in reality. Furthermore, the proposed can apply to assistive device for people with severe disabilities.Mahidol UniversityComputer ScienceOn the development of BCI and its neurofeedback training system for assistive communication device in persons with severe disabilityConference PaperSCOPUS10.1109/APSIPA.2016.7820836
