She also had miliary pulmonary tuberculosis and a positive tuberculin test. The diagnosis in the reported case was based on the histopathological appearance of the conjunctiva, positive acid-fast bacilli on stain and culture from the lesion as well as sputum, and also by the improvement after the treatment with antituberculous agents.
