Bangkok: Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University; 2002. p. 196.Experimental longitudinal studies on intestinal protozoa infestation in 972 Thai school children were performed with the purpose of comparison the result of treatment between anti-parasitic drug alone and drug combine with health education. Infection rate before intervention was 6.4 %. Proper anti- parasitic drugs were given to the positive cases in control group as well as drugs combined with health education provided to children in experimental group. The re-infection rate was 4.2 % in control group, whilst it was 3.2 % in experimental group.
