All new arrangements outstandingly used strings in the style of legato counterpoint of harmony resolution inspired by Charlie Parker from his album Charlie Parker with Strings and the percussive striking style inspired by Max Roach Double Quartet from album Bright Moments . Five selected tunes were chosen for the reason of presenting arranging techniques in several characters, which version of arrangement that has massive counterpoint and percussive strings has never been made before. Those tunes are Night and Day, I Wish You Love, Bolivia, El Gaucho and Venus de Milo. After all five arrangements were made, it is found that string instruments are able to produce many characters of timbre for jazz music. In this study, strings are also found to be effective to play percussive element, which gives liveliness to the arrangement. On the other hand, arranging the strings in the style of Charlie Parker from Charlie Parker with Strings album is very helpful for creating arrangement that needs the characteristic of legato harmony flowing, and can produce warm and rich sound. High register has to be careful to manage in both horns and strings if they play at the same time. The issue that accidentally happened is the string musicians are not familiar with jazz music elements.
