The structure (8) was determined by spectroscopic, chemical, and X-ray crystallographic studies. Boesenboxide forms monoclinic crystals P2 1 , a 12·722(2), b 5·230(1), c 16·139(3) Å, β 106·57(1)° the crystal structure was refined to a residual of 0·029 for 1281 independent observed reflections. © 1987 ASEG.Mahidol UniversityChemistryConstituents of the zingiberaceae.
