Topics in chemistry require a great deal of abstract thinking which is considered challenging for school leaners, leading to a negative attitude towards learning. However, educational innovation in the form of card game has become more popular recently as it can engage students in the learning of chemistry cognitively and emotionally. This research examines the effectiveness of a developed card game on the periodic table used among grade 10 students. The analysis shows that after playing the educational card game, participating students (N = 35) showed a statistically significant increase in their mean score based on a conceptual test implemented before and after playing the game. In addition, it shows that the game environment helps enhance students' positive attitude towards learning of chemistry as it is believed to improve their cognition and collaboration as well as to challenge them to study with enjoyment and excitement.Mahidol UniversityComputer ScienceAn educational card game for enhancing students' learning of the periodic tableConference PaperSCOPUS10.1145/3345120.3345165
