A new species of the ant genus Myrmecina Curtis, 1829 is described and illustrated based on the worker caste under the name Myrmecina raviwonghei Jaitrong, Samung, Waengsothorn et Okido, sp. n. The new species is easily distinguished from the other members of the genus by the first gastral tergite that is covered with fine and dense punctures.
