Bangladesh is facing the problem in utilization of the ANC services and Chattogram is one of the lowest regions in case of ANC utilization. The study aims to identify the proportion of the ANC utilization among the reproductive aged women in the rural area of Chattogram, Bangladesh and its'- related factors. The social ecological model (SEM) is applied to determine the factors related to the ANC utilization. A cross sectional survey was conducted using the interview and the questionnaire among 186 mothers with children aged less than two years between 26th March to 30th May 2020. Data were described by percentage, mean, median and standard deviation. Bivariate analysis using the Chi-square test was employed to determine the relationship between intrapersonal, interpersonal, organizational, community & public policy factors as well as ANC utilization. The findings reveal that 62.9% of the respondents the utilize ANC services. Among these groups, only 27.4% received complete at least 4 ANC visits while 37.1% of respondents did not receive any form of ANC services. Only 23.1% started their 1st ANC visit early within 12 weeks or 1st trimester of pregnancy and the rest of about 76.9% started late. There were significant associations (p<0.05) between intrapersonal factors comprised socio-demographic factors like, respondent's age; marital age; religion; education; husband's age; husband's education; husband's occupation; monthly family income and sufficient of monthly family income; health related data; past experiences on ANC services; knowledge on ANC services; and women's autonomy. Moreover, it has been found that interpersonal factors as social support from family, and public policy factors as the policy campaign on ANC services were significant related to the utilization of ANC services.
