Abstract

The Nursing Science Journal of Thailand is the official journal of Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University. The journal was first published in 1983, Oct-Dec issue, under the name of "Journal of Nursing" which was initiated by former Assistant Dean for Academic Affair, Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, Associate Professor La-aw Hutangkaru. The initiation was approved and supported by Board of Faculty of Nursing. The first editor was Assistant Professor Ratchanee Srisawart (Associate Professor Ratchanee Srida, as of present). Later, the English title of the journal was changed to be "Journal of Nursing Science" since the second issue of the seventeenth volume in 1999.

The Journal has provided a channel for nurses and nursing scholars from Thailand and other countries to exchange experiences and knowledge in nursing and health care. To ensure excellence in scientific publication, Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University has been putting much effort on improving Nursing Science Journal of Thailand by following the standard of scientific and technology journals. Currently, the Journal is qualified to be listed in Thai-journal Citation Index (TCI) database.
