หน้าที่ทางสังคมของความเชื่อผีบรรพบุรุษไทยโซ่ง บ้านเกาะแรต จังหวัดนครปฐม

Abstract

ไทยโซ่งเป็นกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์หนึ่งที่มีความเชื่อและให้ความสำคัญต่อ “ผีบรรพบุรุษ” เป็นอย่างมากและมีการสืบต่อความเชื่อนี้มาจนถึงปัจจุบัน บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ ศึกษาความเชื่อผีบรรพบุรุษของชาวไทยโซ่งที่หมู่บ้านเกาะแรต อำเภอบางเลน จังหวัด นครปฐม เป็นกรณีศึกษา ในประเด็นต่างๆ คือ ความเชื่อเกี่ยวกับผีของไทยโซ่ง พิธีกรรมที่ เกี่ยวกับผีบรรพบุรุษ และหน้าที่ทางสังคมของความเชื่อผีบรรพบุรุษไทยโซ่ง ในการศึกษา ครั้งนี้ ผู้ศึกษาใช้วิธีการศึกษาเชิงคุณภาพ โดยให้ความสำคัญกับการเก็บข้อมูลภาคสนาม ผล การศึกษาพบว่า ความเชื่อผีบรรพบุรุษของชาวไทยโซ่งมีความเกี่ยวข้องกับสังคมและ วัฒนธรรมที่สืบสานจากอดีตได้อย่างชัดเจน และสามารถเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งให้แก่ สังคมไทยโซ่งอย่างยั่งยืน

Thai Song is an ethnic group who profoundly believe in ancestor spirits and have continued to maintain its belief up to today. This paper is a case study of the belief in ancestor spirits at Korat village, Banglen district, Nakhon Pathom province. It features the belief in Thai Song ancestor spirits, ceremonies for ancestor spirits, and social functions related to ancestor spirits beliefs. The qualitative approach is employed as a main method of study. The study shows that the belief in ancestor spirits is evidently tied to Thai Song society and culture handed down from past to present. This belief enables the Thai Song to sustain the strength of their community
