การใช้เกณฑ์ทางภาษาศาสตร์จัดกลุ่มย่อยภาษาไทดำและข้อสนับสนุนการอพยพย้ายถิ่นฐาน

Abstract

งานวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิเคราะห์การจัดกลุ่มย่อยภาษาไทดำในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ โดยใช้เกณฑ์ทางภาษาศาสตร์ คือ พัฒนาการของเสียงวรรณยุกต์ภาษาไทดำดั้งเดิมเป็นเกณฑ์หลัก และพัฒนาการของเสียงพยัญชนะกับสระภาษาไทดำดั้งเดิมเป็นเกณฑ์รอง และวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการใช้เกณฑ์ทางภาษาศาสตร์ดังกล่าวกับการอพยพย้ายถิ่นของชาวไทดำ โดยใช้กรอบความคิดทางภาษาศาสตร์เปรียบเทียบเชิงประวัติและแนวคิดทางภาษาศาสตร์ เชิงสังคม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การใช้เกณฑ์การกลายเสียงของวรรณยุกต์ ซึ่งพิจารณาจาก สัทลักษณะของวรรณยุกต์ A ที่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงไปในภาษาไทดำปัจจุบัน ทำให้ผู้วิจัยสามารถแบ่งกลุ่มย่อยของภาษาไทดำได้เฉพาะในประเทศไทย ส่วนการใช้เกณฑ์พัฒนาการของเสียงพยัญชนะกับสระภาษาไทดำดั้งเดิมสามารถแสดงความสัมพันธ์ใกล้ชิดระหว่างไทดำประเทศไทยกับไทดำประเทศสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาวที่เป็นไทดำอพยพ มากกว่าไทดำประเทศสาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยมเวียดนามที่เป็นไทดำต้นกำเนิด การแบ่งกลุ่มย่อยดังกล่าวนี้สอดคล้องกับประวัติการย้ายถิ่นฐานของชาวไทดำ

This research paper is an analysis of the subgrouping of Tai Dam dialects in Southeast Asia by using linguistic criteria—mainly tonal development—as well as consonant and vowel development. It further analyzes the relationship between the mentioned linguistic criteria and the migration patterns of Tai Dam people based on comparative and historical linguistics, and sociolinguistic approaches. The research found that the development of proto-Tai Dam tones focusing on the phonetic characteristics of ‘A’ tone, can be used to classify Tai Dam dialects in Thailand. The changes of proto-Tai Dam consonants and vowels show that Tai Dam dialect used in Thailand are more closely related to the Tai Dam in Laos—who are present-day Tai Dam migrants—than they are to the Tai Dam in Vietnam, who are the original Tai Dam. This Tai Dam classification correlates with the history of Tai Dam migration.
