บทสนทนากับการวิเคราะห์การสนทนาและการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน

Abstract

บทความนี้เป็นการประมวลและสังเคราะห์ผลการศึกษาบทสนทนาจากวิทยานิพนธ์ของนักศึกษาศิลปศาสตรมหาบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาภาษาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ซึ่งใช้แนวคิดการวิเคราะห์การสนทนา (Sacks, Schegloff & Jefferson, 1974) ผลงานทั้ง 3 ผลงานมีจุดร่วมที่เหมือนกันในเรื่องระบบโครงสร้างและองค์ประกอบการสนทนา อาทิ การผลัดกันพูด คู่วัจนกรรม และการปรับแก้ แต่ก็มีข้อแตกต่างกันในรายละเอียด แม้ว่าการวิเคราะห์โครงสร้างการสนทนาพัฒนามาจาก การศึกษาระเบียบวิธีชาติพันธุ์ (ethnomethodology) ที่ให้ความสาคัญทั้งสังคมและบริบท แต่เมื่อ “การวิเคราะห์การสนทนา” ได้พัฒนาแนวคิดที่เป็นระบบของตนเองก็ไม่ได้ให้ความสาคัญเรื่องสังคมและบริบทมากนัก คงเน้นแต่เรื่องของระบบและโครงสร้างการสนทนาเท่านั้น อย่างไรก็ดี ผลจากการศึกษาทั้ง 3 ผลงานที่ใช้ข้อมูลการสนทนาจาก 3 แวดวงการสนทนา ทาให้บทสังเคราะห์นี้เสนอว่า บริบทขององค์กร/สถาบันและบริบททางวัฒนธรรมควรต้องนามาเป็นส่วนสาคัญในการวิเคราะห์โครงสร้างการสนทนาด้วย กล่าวคือ การวิเคราะห์บทสนทนาด้วยการใช้แนวคิด “การวิเคราะห์การสนทนา – CA” น่าจะต้องเสริมด้วยแนวคิด “การวิเคราะห์การสนทนา เชิงประยุกต์ – Applied CA” ทั้งนี้เพื่อให้ผลการศึกษานั้นๆ นาไปสู่การใช้บทสนทนาเพื่อ การพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนมากยิ่งขึ้น

This paper is a synthesis of three studies conductedby M.A. students of Linguistics atMahidol University. All of them usedConversation Analysis–CA (Sacks, Schegloff & Jefferson, 1974) in analyzing conversational structures. The results reveal that the studies supported each otherin terms of the systematic structures of turn-taking, adjacency pairs, and repair. However, in details, there were quite a fewdifferences. Although CA has its roots in “ethnomethodology” when after it became established in its own system,CA tendednot to bother about the particular context, especially the social contextin which the discussion is occurring. However, from these three studies, which used data from three different setting domains,the context of each institution should be taken into account. In addition, this paperproposes, I argue,that it is not only the structures of conversations that are worth exploring, but also the context of each conversation, both the situational context and cultural context. It should be acknowledged that not only Pure–CA, but applied CA should be taken into account for any study of this nature in order to attain sustainable development.
