การใช้รายการออนไลน์ของผู้ใช้ห้องสมุดคณะเภสัชศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล

Abstract

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการใช้รายการออนไลน์ในด้านความถี่ วัตถุประสงค์ สถานที่ใช้สืบค้น การเรียนรู้การใช้รายการออนไลน์ ช่องทางที่ใช้สืบค้น กลยุทธ์การสืบค้น รูปแบบการแสดงผล และการเชื่อมโยงไปยังแหล่งสารสนเทศอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ที่เกี่ยวข้อง ความพึงพอใจ และ ปัญหาในการใช้รายการออนไลน์ของผู้ใช้ห้องสมุดคณะเภสัชศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล กลุ่มประชากรที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ อาจารย์ นักศึกษาปริญญาตรี นักศึกษาบัณฑิต ข้าราชการ/นักวิจัย และบุคคลภายนอกที่เคยใช้รายการออนไลน์ของฐานข้อมูล MULINET มาก่อน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ผู้ใช้ห้องสมุดส่วนใหญ่เป็นนักศึกษาบัณฑิต มีความถี่ในการใช้รายการออนไลน์ไม่แน่นอน/ใช้เมื่อต้องการข้อมูล มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อค้นคว้าหาความรู้เพิ่มเติม มักจะสืบค้นรายการออนไลน์จากห้องสมุดคณะเภสัชศาสตร์ เรียนรู้การใช้รายการออนไลน์ด้วยตนเองด้วยการลองผิดลองถูก สืบค้นด้วยช่องทางคำสำคัญ มีการใช้และไม่ใช้กลยุทธ์การสืบค้นในสัดส่วนใกล้เคียงกัน นิยมใช้รูปแบบการแสดงผลการสืบค้นแบบสมบูรณ์ ไม่ใช้การเชื่อมโยงจากรายการออนไลน์ไปยังแหล่งสารสนเทศอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ที่เกี่ยวข้อง มีความพึงพอใจสูงสุดในด้านความชัดเจนของรหัสห้องสมุด/สถานที่ให้บริการ และ ความถูกต้องของการพิมพ์ข้อมูล (ค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากัน) และปัญหาที่ผู้ใช้ประสบที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด 3 อันดับแรก ได้แก่ การใช้คู่มือการสืบค้นฐานข้อมูลทรัพยากรสารสนเทศบนเว็บไซต์สำนักหอสมุด จุดเข้าถึงหน้าจอ Library OPAC ไม่เด่นชัด และความสามารถในการเชื่อมโยงไปยังแหล่งสารสนเทศอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ที่เกี่ยวข้องกี่ยวข้องไม่สำเร็จ

This research objectives are: 1) to study the uses of OPAC of Pharmacy Library Users at Mahidol University in their frequency, goals of search, place of OPACs’ uses, usages learning methods, search channels, OPAC’s searching strategies, OPAC record display formats, the capability of the links to related electronic resources 2) to study the OPAC’s usage satisfactory 3) to study the problems of OPAC’s searching. Samples of populations are lecturers, undergraduate students, graduate students Officer/Researcher, and outsider of the faculty who have used the MULINET’s OPAC. The findings reveal that most of the library users are graduate students, frequency of usage are uncertainly upon their information need, goals of OPAC’s uses to get more information, used OPAC terminal in Faculty of Pharmacy Library, they learned about the searching methodology by themselves, the keyword is the most favorite search channel, half of them used and unused OPAC’s searching strategies, OPAC’s full records display are most used, but not use the links to related electronic resources. Most satisfactory is clearly of library and collection code and correctly typewriting of OPAC records. Most of library users resolve these problems: 1) the uses of OPAC’s searching manuals on library website 2) unnoticeable of library OPAC access point 3) failure in capacity of the links of related electronic resources
