dc.description.abstractThe workshop will discuss the use of motivational psychology and principles of motivation in relation to public speaking courses. Student motivation is an essential aspect of participation and can be classified according Henry Murray’s Theory of Needs. The use of motivational psychology combined with elements of humanism to encourage and motivate students can be an effective tool for decreasing signs of nervousness and improving overall speaker quality.en_US
