The sample size of 196 households was calculated by using Taro Yamane’s formula with 5% error, 95% confidence coefficient and 50% degree of variability.... Distribution of samples among the three CFUGs is 119, 55 and 22 for Nwegawe, Nyaunggyi and Thebyu villages, respectively. Questionnaire survey was conducted and head of household who was also members of three user groups were interviewed. Stepwise Multiple

(2011-12) Kitipong Chaimanuskul; Luepol Punnakanta; Wimon Sonchaem; Pisit Sukreeyapongse; Rungjarat Hutacharoen; Rungjarat Hutacharoen; Mahidol University. Faculty of Environment and Natural Resource Studies
The purpose of this study was to indicate the sustainability of Thai Hom Mali Rice (Jasmine rice) cultivation in Thailand. Which the study had statistical samples from the most intensive cultivation provinces, as Phayao (Northern region), Sisaket (Northeastern), Chachoengsao (Central region) and Nakhonsithammarat (Southern region). Two indicators had were assigned to assess the sustainable cultivation of Thai’s farmers, namely as Sustainability in Cultivation Practices (SCP), and the Composite Sustainability Indicators (CSI). Indicators of each region had performed by this study. The findings revealed that where the northeastern region had the highest values of SCP and level of CSI level in the country. than other regions of Thailand. Besides, the independent variables of SCP, in particularly production costs, chemical and fertilizer utilization, the risk of weeds and pest, were found to be the significantly common variables in the most of regions of THMR cultivation.

This study aims to use RACD to quantify Plasmodium parasitaemia in households of index cases, and identify risk factors for infection; these data could inform reactive screening approaches and identify... target risk groups. Methods: This study was conducted in the Western Cambodian province of Pailin between May 2013 and March 2014 among 440 households. Index participants/index cases (n = 270) and surrounding households (n = 110) were screened

Influences of population dynamics on agricultural land use in rural northeastern Thailand: a case study in Nang Rong district
(2007-01) Thanut Wongsaichue; Yothin Sawangdee; โยธิน แสวงดี; Rindfuss, Ronald R.; Boonlert Leoprapai; Mahidol University. Institute for Population and Social Research
This is a population study that examines the role of population dynamics, such as fertility, mortality, and out-migration in rural households on agricultural land use. The data of the Nang Rong Projects in 1994-2000 were used for research.... The results show that population events which occur in the household affect decisionmakings on utilization of land for agriculture. For example, as results show, a death event in the household reduces the probability of agricultural land use, as does
