In this Forward,we present brief summaries of the articles in order to highlight how each contributes unique evidence on migrants, minorities and refugees, their situation, amd the legal and policy issue affecting their well-being and integration. We then summarize the panel discussion held on the last day of meeting, which put forth constructive suggestions for policy reform in Thailand and the region. Finally, we propose areas for for future research that arose from the conference and the articles contained here, with the aim of promoting evidence-based policy development for effective economic and social integration
