คุณภาพชีวิตผู้ติดเชื้อและผู้ป่วยเอดส์ที่เปิดเผยภาวะการติดเชื้อ ในเขตกิ่งอำเภอเทพารักษ์และอำเภอด่านขุนทด จังหวัดนครราชสีมา

Abstract

การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาคุณภาพชีวิตผู้ติดเชื้อและผู้ป่วยเอดส์ที่เปิดเผยภาวะการติดเชื้อ กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือสมาชิกกลุ่มเพื่อนด่านสัมพันธ์ จำนวน 16 ราย เก็บข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก ผลการศึกษาพบว่ากลุ่มตัวอย่างมีอายุเฉลี่ย 38 ปี ส่วนใหญ่จบการศึกษาระดับประถมศึกษา กึ่งหนึ่งมีสถานภาพสมรสหม้าย กว่าครึ่งทราบว่าตนเองติดเชื้อเนื่องจากเข้ารักษาภาวะการเจ็บป่วยใน โรงพยาบาล และระบุว่าเปิดเผยภาวะการติดเชื้อเพราะต้องการรักษาพยาบาลในโรงพยาบาลของรัฐ หลังทราบภาวะการติดเชื้อสามในสี่ดูแลสุขภาพตนเองมากขึ้น ทุกคนมีการแยกของใช้ส่วนตัวออกจากผู้อื่น สองในสามงดการมีเพศสัมพันธ์ หลังเปิดเผยภาวะการติดเชื้อเกือบทุกคนได้รับการยอมรับและช่วยเหลือจากครอบ ครัวเป็นอย่างดี เกือบครึ่งระบุว่าสังคมให้การยอมรับและสามารถอยู่ร่วมกับคนในสังคมได้ ปัจจุบันสองในสามบอกว่าสามารถใช้ชีวิตได้เหมือนบุคคลปกติ เกือบครึ่งได้รับการช่วยเหลือเรื่องทุนการศึกษาบุตรและเงินยังชีพ สองในสามคิดว่ายอมรับได้กับคุณภาพชีวิตที่เป็นอยู่ในปัจจุบัน ข้อเสนอแนะจากการศึกษาควรเสริมสร้างความรู้และความเข้าใจที่ถูกต้องเกี่ยวกับโรคเอดส์และการอยู่ร่วมกันกับผู้ติดเชื้อและผู้ป่วยเอดส์ในสังคม ประชาสัมพันธ์ถึงผลดีของการเปิดเผยภาวะการติดเชื้อที่ส่งผลต่อการรักษาพยาบาลที่ถูกต้อง ขยายเครือข่ายและส่งเสริมกิจกรรมของผู้ติดเชื้อ เพื่อให้เข้าถึงข้อมูลข่าวสารและสามารถช่วยเหลือสมาชิกกลุ่มได้อย่างมี ประสิทธิภาพ The qualitative research was aimed to describe the quality of life among disclosed HIV infected and AIDS patients. Samples were sixteen members of “Poen Dan Sampan” group. Data was obtained by in-depth interview. The mean age of samples was 38 years, most of them had elementary education, and half of them were widows. More than half realized their infection from hospital admission and reason to disclose their infection was the need of care from government sector. Almost all had chronic illness, weakness, worry and could not do hard work. Three-quarters mentioned of family acceptance. Regarding care, three-quarters sought care from governmental services using only modern medicines. After realized the status, three-quarters took better care of themselves while two-thirds were abstinence from sex. All of them isolated their personal belongings from the others, they were in a good care of their families when suffering from illness. After disclosed, nearly all of them got good acceptance and care by their family. Nearly half mentioned of social acceptance and capability of normal living in the society. Regarding current quality of life, two-thirds could live as normal people whereas one-thirds had troublesome living. Nearly half of them got support for education of their children and living pension. Two-thirds accepted their current quality of life. Understanding towards AIDS as well as living with AIDS should be promoted, advantages of disclosure on proper care should be provided, networking as well as activities among HIV infected persons should be encouraged, cooperation for care, helping, and solving of AIDS and its consequences should be strengthened.
