dc.description.abstract© 2016 IEEE. The prediction of received signal strength under the tree line depends on the type of ve getation. Most empirical propagation models provide estimation of the path loss as a function of distance and frequencies of 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, and 2100 MHz. This paper focuses on the empirical propagation models and which formula is appropriate for the estimation of radio loss in a tree line for five different types of tree. The parameter of the propagation model was estimated to the measured data. Both the transmitter and the receiver are under the trees. The propagation path is mainly characterized by tree bush. We found that the path loss exponent and signal valuations depend on types of tree.en_US
