Abstract
Mössbauer spectra of amorphous Fe81B13.5Si3.5C2ribbons, which were field annealed at 594 K and 654 K, have been obtained. By measuring the ratios between the intensities of the second (fifth) absorption peaks and the first (sixth) peaks for various orientations of the ribbons with respect to the incident γ-ray, the orientation of the magnetization within the ribbons determined. Three different models for the magnetization within the amorphous ribbons were considered. It was observed that the magnetization became more directed in the direction of the annealing field as the annealing temperature was increased. © 1985.
