This communication reports 13 cases of otogenic intracranial complications seen from July 1970 to March 1973. Purulent meningitis and brain abscess are the most common and serious neurological complications. Of these, 12 patients suffered from chronic otitis media; in one case the complication followed an attack of acute otitis media. Complete recovery was observed in 8 cases, improvement with neurological deficit in 3, and death in 2.en_US
