สภาพการใช้ ปัญหา และความต้องการใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสาร ของบุคลากรหอสมุดและคลังความรู้มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล

Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้ เป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสภาพการใช้ ปัญหา และความต้องการในการใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสารของบุคลากรหอสมุดและคลังความรู้มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล เพื่อใช้เป็นข้อมูลในการวางแผนและสนับสนุนหน่วยงานให้มีการพัฒนาด้านเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสารของบุคลากรหอสมุดและคลังความรู้มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดลได้อย่างต่อเนื่อง มีความเหมาะสมกับองค์กร เพื่อการปฏิบัติงานได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ประชากรที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ บุคลากรหอสมุดและคลังความรู้มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดลจาก 15 ส่วนงาน จำนวน 109 คน โดยข้อมูลได้มาจากแบบสอบถามที่สามารถนำวิเคราะห์ได้จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 108 ชุด คิดเป็นร้อยละ 99.08 เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ แบบสอบถาม การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา โดยการหาค่าความถี่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการวิจัยพบว่าบุคลากรส่วนใหญ่ของหอสมุดและคลังความรู้มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดลมีวัตถุประสงค์ในการใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสาร เพื่อสืบค้นสารสนเทศผ่านระบบออนไลน์ (X= 4.22, SD=0.630) มีการใช้งานโปรแกรมประเภทระบบงานต่าง ๆ ภายในห้องสมุด เช่น Millennium เป็นต้น (X= 3.89, SD=0.805) และมีการใช้งานเครื่องมือ อุปกรณ์ประเภทเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ เช่น PC / Notebook เป็นต้น (X= 3.80, SD=0.953) รวมถึงการใช้งานผ่านระบบเครือข่ายไร้สายของมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล (MU-WiFi) (X= 3.47, SD=1.234) ปัญหาการใช้งานที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดคือ การขาดแคลนเครื่องมือและอุปกรณ์สารองสาหรับใช้งานเมื่อเครื่องมือและอุปกรณ์หลักเสียหาย (X= 3.57, SD=1.080) สำหรับความต้องการของบุคลากรที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดคือ ต้องการให้หน่วยงานมีการสนับสนุนให้บุคลากรมีเครื่องมือและอุปกรณ์ใช้ในการปฏิบัติงานอย่างเพียงพอ (X= 4.37, SD=0.661)

The purpose of this survey research was to study the states and problems and needs of staff at Mahidol University Library and Knowledge Center with regards to the use of information and communications technology. It also uses the data to plan and support the organization for the development of information and communications technology in a continuously and effective manner. Populations were 109 staff of Mahidol University Library and Knowledge Center from 15 departments. Questionnaire were given to 108 staff members, who represent 99 percent of the total 109 staff. Data were analyzed using the descriptive statistics frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The results showed that most of the staff at Mahidol University Library and Knowledge Center used Information and Communications Technology to retrieve information through the online system (X= 4.22, SD=0.630), to access the library’s software, such as Millennium, etc. (X= 3.89, SD=0.805), and to use tools and devices, such as PC / Notebook, etc. (X= 3.80, SD=0.953) and the wireless network at Mahidol University (MU-WiFi) (X= 3.47, SD=1.234). Problems reported were the lack of tools and backup devices for use when the main tools and equipment are damaged (X= 3.57, SD=1.080). To better meet the needs of the staff, support is required from the organization in terms of tools and equipment that perform adequately (X= 4.37, SD=0.661).
