Pelement: A periodic table game for elements learning

© 2017 IEEE. Periodic Table is a table that represents the chemical elements which is useful for people who are studying the basic chemistry and interested in chemical properties of elements. This understanding will help to memorize and understand the elements information as well. Therefore, periodic table is very important to study the chemical elements because it is arranged systematically which can be easily understand, including systematic thinking skills and memorizing elements. However, learning by traditional methods of memorization may not be attractive enough for students and people who study chemistry because it takes a long time to recognize the elements and it is also boring. Then, the developers believe that playing game is a part which can help for better learning. “Pelement” is a periodic table game in kind of match-three puzzle game that helps players to learn and remember the important elements. This game has several different levels which allow players to match elements followed by groups of elements within the limited moves to pass each level. Also, there is a quiz about the elements for players to learn. For the analysis result, players are most satisfied with Pelement game in terms of entertainment 57 percent and learning 58 percent.
