Abstract

(±)-Dehydropentenomycin and analogues were synthesized by utilizing the intramolecular acylation of α-sulfinyl carbanions, starting from alkyl 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolanecarboxylates. © 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
