การสื่อสารเรื่องเพศระหว่างวัยรุ่นกับเพื่อนสนิท: ความแตกต่างระหว่างหญิงและชาย

Abstract

วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อศึกษาเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับเรื่องเพศที่มีการสื่อสารกันระหว่างวัยรุ่นกับเพื่อนสนิท และเปรียบเทียบความแตกต่างของเนื้อหาที่มีการสื่อสารกันระหว่างวัยรุ่นหญิงและวัยรุ่นชาย รูปแบบการวิจัย: เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา วิธีดำเนินการวิจัย: กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย อายุ 14–18 ปี จำนวน 698 คน (เป็นหญิง รัอยละ 72.5) เก็บข้อมูลโดยชใช้แบบสอบถามวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลในส่วนของเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับเรื่องเพศจากแบบสอบถามปลายเปิด โดยใช้การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาจากนั้นคำนวณจำนวนและร้อยละของกลุ่มตัวอย่างหญิงและชายที่พูดคุยประเด็นนั้นๆ แล้วจึงทำการเปรียบเทียบระหว่างกลุ่ม ผลการวิจัย: วัยรุ่นส่วนใหญ่พูดคุยเรื่องเพศกับเพื่อนทุกวัน (ร้อยละ 45.3) หรืออย่างน้อยสัปดาห์ละครั้ง (ร้อยละ 25.8) ในส่วนของเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับเรื่องเพศที่มีการสื่อสารกันระหว่างวัยรุ่นกับเพื่อน ภายหลังการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาพบ 3 ประเด็นหลักที่วัยรุ่นพูดคุยและมีความต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญในจำนวนของวัยรุ่นหญิงและชาย ได้แก่ 1) พัฒนาการทางเพศและระบบสืบพันธุ์เมื่อเข้าสู่วัยหนุ่มสาว 2) การตั้งครรภ์ การป้องกันการตั้งครรภ์ และการทำแท้ง และ 3) ประสบการณ์การกระตุ้นให้เกิดความพึงพอใจทางเพศด้วยตนเอง ส่วนอีก 3 ประเด็นหลักไม่พบความแตกต่างระหว่างหญิงและชาย แต่พบว่า วัยรุ่นมีความสนใจพูดคุยกันมาก ได้แก่ 1) พฤติกรรมทางเพศในบริบทของสัมพันธภาพเชิงหญิงชาย 2) สัมพันธภาพฉันคู่รักและการออกเดท และ 3) โรคติดต่อทางเพศสัมพันธ์ เอชไอวี/เอดส์ และการป้องกัน สรุปและข้อเสนอแนะ: วัยรุ่นมีการพูดคุยเรื่องเพศกับเพื่อนและพูดคุยได้อย่างเปิดเผยตรงไปตรงมา โดยการสื่อสารนั้นมีความแตกต่างระหว่างหญิงและชาย ดังนั้น การสื่อสารเรื่องเพศกับวัยรุ่นจึงควรอยู่ภายใต้บรรยากาศของการยอมรับร่วมกับการนำเสนอเนื้อหาเรื่องเพศที่สอดคล้องกับความรู้ ทัศนคติ และความสนใจตามเพศของวัยรุ่น

Purposes: To examine sex-related issues that were communicated between adolescents and their closed friends and to compare the differences of the contents communicated between boys and girls. Design: Descriptive research design. Methods: The sample was 698 high school students (72.5% female) ages between 14-18 years old. Questionnaires were used for data collection. Content analysis was used for open ended questions about sexuality contents. Then, frequencies and percentages of the responses of males and females were computed and then compared. Main Findings: Majority of adolescents talked about sex-related issues with their closed friends everyday (45.3%) or at least once a week (25.8%). Regarding contents about sexuality issues, content analysis revealed three main issues that were significantly differences between female and male communications: 1) reproductive and sexual development, 2) pregnancy, pregnancy protection, and abortion and 3) autoerotic experience. The other three issues were not found to be differences between male and female communications but were of interest by both adolescent boys and girls. These issues are 1) sexual behavior in the relationship context, 2) romantic relationship and dating, and 3) sexually transmitted infections HIV/AIDS and prevention. Conclusion and recommendations: Adolescents comfortably and openly talk to their friends about sexuality issues and the conversation differs by genders. Thus, communicating about sexuality issues with adolescents under accepting atmosphere and tailored to knowledge, attitudes, and interests of each gender is recommended.
