dc.description.abstractWe modify a mathematical model proposed for describing bone resorption and bone formation process based on the effect of calcitonin to investigate the effect of time delay on bone remodeling process. The model is then analyzed by using Hopf bifurcation theorem. The conditions on the system parameters are then derived so that a periodic solution can be assured. A computer simulation is carried out in order to support our theoretical prediction. Moreover, the effects of estrogen supplement in different manner are also investigated numerically.en_US
