Title
Glomerulonephritis in a heroin addict: a case report
A case of a heroin addict with S. aureus bacterial endocarditis, pneumonitis, and glomerulonephritis with mild renal insufficiency is described. Renal biopsy showed diffuse mesangial proliferation with positive immunofluorescent study of the immune complex nephritis. A bacterial endocarditis therapeutic regimen with conservative treatment of the renal problem yielded a good response.
