Title
Design and development of hip abductor brace (HAB) to prevent dislocation after hip replacement surgery
This paper focuses on the design and development of hip abduction brace (HAB). The HAB was designed to reduce the risk of dislocation after hip replacement surgery. It is easy to use and can be adjusted to an appropriate size for each individual patient. In addition, HAB was designed by using a theory of Q-Angle of the knee which makes the patient feel comfortable and reduces ache while wearing. It is advisory for the patients to strictly use HAB during first 6 months after hip replacement surgery and follow precautions which are defined to ensure that the patients will accomplish their daily living activities safely and independently.
