ฐานข้อมูลซีดี - รอม (CD-ROM Database)ที่สำคัญทางการพยาบาลและสาขาวิชาที่เกี่ยวข้อง

Abstract

เทคโนโลยีซีดี-รอม พัฒนาขึ้นใน ค.ศ. 1985 เป็นเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศใหม่ล่าสุดที่ใช้ในการจัดเก็บ และสืบค้นข้อมูล ซีดี-รอมมีประโยชน์ในการบันทึกข้อมูลจำนวนมาก ทำให้ประหยัดเนื้อที่ในการจัดเก็บข้อมูลที่บันทึกในซีดี-รอมจะไม่สูญหาย เพราะไม่สามารถลบออกได้ รวมทั้งมีวิธีการสืบค้นข้อมูลที่ง่ายและรวดเร็ว ปัจจุบันมีการผลิตฐานข้อมูลซีดี-รอม เฉพาะวิชาจำนวนมากออกเผยแพร่ โดยเฉพาะฐานข้อมูลซีดี-รอม ทางการพยาบาลและสาขาวิชาที่เกี่ยวข้อง เช่น ฐานข้อมูล AIDSLINE, CINAHL, HEALTH PLAN- CD เป็นต้น บุคลากรในวิชาชีพจึงควรทราบชื่อฐานข้อมูล ลักษณะข้อมูล สาขาวิชาที่ครอบคลุม และห้องสมุดที่ให้บริการ เพื่อให้สามารถเลือกใช้ฐานข้อมูลได้ตรงและสอดคล้องกับสาขาวิชาที่ศึกษา

CD-ROM technology was introduced in early 1985. It is the lastest development of information storage and retrieve. It’s used to keep a mass information and save the space in information storage. Information in the CD-ROM database will never disappear because it cannot be deleted. Including the searching method of CD-ROM database is easily and quickly. At the present time there are many titles of CD-ROM databases in specific area, specially in nursing and allied health such as AIDSLINE, CINAHL, HEALTH PLAN- CD ect. The person in nursing profession should know the title list of CD-ROM database description, coverage of area and the libraries that have the service to be able to select the right database and match the interesting area.
