เปรียบเทียบพฤติกรรมการสูบบุหรี่ของนักเรียนระหว่างโรงเรียนในและนอกเครือข่ายรณรงค์เพื่อการไม่สูบบุหรี่

Abstract

การวิจัยเชิงสำรวจแบบตัดขวางนี้ เพื่อศึกษาเปรียบเทียบพฤติกรรมการสูบบุหรี่ ความรู้ที่เกี่ยวกับ บุหรี่ เจตคติต่อการไม่สูบบุหรี่ และทักษะที่สัมพันธ์กับการสูบบุหรี่ ของนักเรียนในโรงเรียนเครือข่าย รณรงค์เพื่อการไม่สูบบุหรี่กับโรงเรียนที่ไม่เป็นเครือข่าย โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ นักเรียนชายและ นักเรียนหญิง ที่กำลังศึกษาอยู่ในระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 ถึงระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ของ โรงเรียนที่อยู่ในเครือข่ายครูและโรงเรียนที่ไม่ใช่เครือข่ายครู ของมูลนิธิรณรงค์เพื่อการไม่สูบบุหรี่ จำนวน 936 คน เลือกตัวอย่างโดยใช้วิธีการสุ่มตัวอย่างอย่างง่าย รวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม ที่ผ่านการตรวจสอบคุณภาพด้านความตรงตามเนื้อหา และความเที่ยง วิเคราะห์เปรียบเทียบความ แตกต่างระหว่างคะแนนเฉลี่ยของความรู้เกี่ยวกับบุหรี่ เจตคติต่อการไม่สูบบุหรี่ ทักษะที่สัมพันธ์กับการ สูบบุหรี่กับพฤติกรรมการสูบบุหรี่ และกับการเป็นนักเรียนในโรงเรียนในและนอกเครือข่าย ครูนักรณรงค์เพื่อการไม่สูบบุหรี่ โดยใช้สถิติ t-test ผลการวิจัยพบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่าง จำนวน 936 คน ประกอบด้วยนักเรียนในโรงเรียนเครือข่ายครู จำนวน 459 คน (ร้อยละ 49.0) และนักเรียนในโรงเรียนนอกเครือข่ายครู จำนวน 477 คน (ร้อยละ 51.0) นักเรียนมีพฤติกรรมการสูบบุหรี่ ร้อยละ 2.7 โดยนักเรียนในโรงเรียนเครือข่ายครู พบร้อยละ 1.7 ขณะที่นักเรียนในโรงเรียนนอกเครือข่าย พบร้อยละ 3.6 สูงกว่านักเรียนในโรงเรียนเครือข่ายกว่า 2 เท่า การเปรียบเทียบระหว่างนักเรียนในเครือข่ายและที่ไม่ใช่เครือข่าย พบว่า ความรู้เกี่ยวกับบุหรี่ของ นักเรียนในโรงเรียนเครือข่ายมีระดับคะแนนเฉลี่ยสูงกว่านักเรียนของโรงเรียนนอกเครือข่ายอย่างมี นัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (t = 3.50 , p <0.001) ค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยของเจตคติต่อการไม่สูบบุหรี่ของนักเรียนใน โรงเรียนในเครือข่ายกับนักเรียนของโรงเรียนนอกเครือข่ายไม่พบความแตกต่างกัน (t =1.31, p = 0.191) ทักษะที่สัมพันธ์กับการสูบบุหรี่ พบว่า นักเรียนของโรงเรียนในเครือข่ายมีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยสูงกว่า นักเรียนของโรงเรียนนอกเครือข่ายอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (t = 3.98, p <0.001) มากกว่านั้น จากการเปรียบเทียบระหว่างนักเรียนที่ไม่สูบบุหรี่และที่สูบบุหรี่ พบว่านักเรียนที่ไม่สูบบุหรี่มีค่าคะแนน เฉลี่ยสูงกว่านักเรียนที่สูบบุหรี่อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ( t = 2.28, p = 0.023) เช่นเดียวกับเจตคติ ต่อการไม่สูบบุหรี่ (t = 6.95, p <0.001) และทักษะที่สัมพันธ์กับการสูบบุหรี่ของนักเรียนที่ไม่ สูบบุหรี่สูงกว่านักเรียนที่สูบบุหรี่ค่อนข้างมากและพบความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (t = 8.73, p <0.001) ข้อเสนอแนะจากการวิจัย คือโรงเรียนเครือข่ายควรมีการขยายเครือข่ายให้มากขึ้น ขณะเดียวกันควรให้มีการพัฒนาเชิงคุณภาพ เพื่อให้เกิดการดำเนินงานตามองค์ประกอบ และตาม มาตรฐานโรงเรียนปลอดบุหรี่ที่ได้กำหนดไว้อย่างจริงจัง มีการกระตุ้นและติดตามประเมินผล เพื่อให้ดำเนินงานอย่างต่อเนื่อง

This research studied smoking behavior, knowledge about smoking, reasons for not smoking, and skills related to avoiding smoking, in students attending schools belonging to the Teacher’s Network Against Tobacco (TNT) and schools that are not members of the TNT. The sample group consisted of male and female students from grades 7-12, consisting of 459 students (49.0%) in TNT schools and 477 students (51.0%) in non-TNT schools, with a total sample size of 936 students. Selection of the sample group was done through a random sampling method, and data was collected using questionnaires, which underwent quality tests to ensure content validity and reliability. Analysis was done by comparing average knowledge about smoking, reasons for not smoking, skills related to avoiding smoking, smoking behavior, and whether or not a student attended a TNT school, using a ttest. The results indicate that of the sample group, 2.7% of all students are current smokers, 1.7% are students in TNT schools and 3.6% are students in non-TNT schools. In comparing students in TNT and non-TNT schools, results show that knowledge about smoking among students in TNT schools is significantly higher than students in non-TNT schools, with statistical significance (t = 3.50, p < 0.001). The differences in reasons for not smoking between students in TNT and non-TNT schools was statistically insignificant (t = 1.31, p = 0.191). For the average measure of skills related to avoiding smoking, it was found that students in TNT schools scored higher than students in non-TNT schools, with statistical significance (t = 3.98, p<0.001). Moreover, in comparing smoking students and non-smoking students, it was found that non-smoking students have higher grade point averages than smoking students with statistical significance (t = 2.28, p=0.023). Non-smoking students have much higher scores than smoking students in reasons for not smoking (t = 6.95, p<0.001) and skills related to avoiding smoking with statistical significance (t = 8.73, p<0.001). The recommendations from this research are that TNT schools should expand their network and implement the objectives and standards of a smoke – free school. There should be future studies to monitor students’ smoking behavior and knowledge.
