Abstract
The purpose of this research is to compare the method of non-invasive blood pressure measurement between auscultatory method and oscillometric method. The volunteers of blood pressure measurement by both methods are 100 persons. The results show the correlations of SBP, DBP and MAP on left and right arm by oscillomatric method that is low correlation (0.224, 0.277 and 0.269 respectively). But, the correlations of SBP, DBP and MAP on left and right arm by auscultatory method that is high correlation (0.945, 0.928 and 0.950 respectively). Moreover, the correlation of SBP and DBP left arm by oscillomatric and auscultatory method that are not correlation (0.000, 0.000 and 0.000 respectively). The blood pressure value of osillomatric method is higher than auscultatory method. Then, we are aware in wildly blood pressure measurement by oscillomatric method. This is not gold standard and can't replace in auscultation method. © 2011 IEEE.
