Abstract
© 2014 IEEE. Wireless monitoring system is the effective and convenient tools in medical field nowadays. It is widely applied to many physiological parameters such as Electrocardiogram (ECG), Electroencephalogram (EEG), etc. This paper proposes a low cost wireless 1-lead ECG monitoring system that transmits the information to the database server via the mobile network. Our designing system consists of the ECG monitoring circuit, microcontroller circuit and Android mobile phone. The microcontroller interfaces to Android mobile phone via Bluetooth protocol, and the information is transmitted to the database server via FTP protocol. The information was displayed and accessed by the web-service system via the internet protocol. The heart rate accuracy was tested by ECG simulator at different beats per minute. The maximum error and standard deviation are 0.83% and 2.35 respectively.
