Abstract
การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ที่จะทำการศึกษาคุณภาพน้ำผิวดินในลำน้ำห้วยแม่ตาว และศึกษาการปนเปื้อนโลหะหนักในแหล่งน้ำ เพื่อให้ทราบถึงคุณภาพน้ำและสภาวะการปนเปื้อนในลำน้ำที่อาจส่งผลกระทบต่อการใช้ประโยชน์และระบบนิเวศทางน้ำในพื้นที่ จากการศึกษาพบว่าคุณภาพน้ำผิวดินของห้วยแม่ตาว ส่วนใหญ่อยู่ในเกณฑ์มาตรฐานคุณภาพน้ำผิวดิน ประเภทที่ 3 เพื่อการใช้ประโยชน์ด้านการเกษตรกรรมและเกณฑ์คุณภาพน้ำเพื่อคุ้มครองทรัพยากรสัตว์น้ำจืด โดยค่าความขุ่นและของแข็งแขวนลอยในน้ำพบมีความแตกต่างกันในช่วงฤดูกาล โดยที่ช่วงฤดูฝนทั้ง 2 ดัชนีคุณภาพน้ำมีค่าสูงเกินกว่าเกณฑ์มาตรฐานที่กำหนด และพบมีการปนเปื้อนของโลหะหนักในน้ำของลำน้ำห้วยแม่ตาว การปนเปื้อนโลหะหนักจะพบในปริมาณที่สูงในช่วงฤดูฝนมากกว่าฤดูร้อน โดยพบมีการปนเปื้อนของโลหะหนักแคดเมียมเกินกว่าเกณฑ์ความเข้มข้นสูงสุดที่ยินยอมให้มีในแหล่งน้ำเพื่อการคุ้มครองทรัพยากรสัตว์น้ำจืด .
The aim of this research is to study the quality of surface water in Huai Mae Tao as well as to investigate the degree of heavy metal contamination in water. The results obtained will help in determining the water quality and contamination in the area as well as the impact that can effect to the water utilization and the aquatic ecological system. The study results have revealed that mostly the surface water quality of Huai Mae Tao was within the Type III of The Surface Water Standard for Agriculture and Water Quality for Protection of Aquatic Resources . However, the turbidity and suspended solid levels were found to be varied according to seasonality. These 2 water quality indexes were higher than the allowed standard during the rainy season. Heavy metal contamination was also found in the surface water of Huai Mae Tao. The contamination level was higher in the rainy season than in the summer season. Cadmium level, in particular, was higher than the maximum allowed concentration in natural water resources for Protection of Aquatic Resources
