The standard mean field approach neglects the random disordering of magnetic and nonmagnetic ions with the sublattice of the mixed spinel ferrites. It is known that this disordering can lead to real effects. A mean field theory is developed in which local field fluctuations arising from the random disordering of the magnetic ions within a sublattice acts on the spins located within the other sublattice. It is seen that the fluctuations lead to a lowering of the values of the spins at intermediate temperatures. © 1995.en_US
