dc.description.abstractSexually immature rats, 20 to 28 days of age, were induced diabetics by a single diabetogenic dose of alloxan. Autoradiography using 3 H thymidine revealed statistically significant increases in the nuclear labeling of the acinar cell, ductular epithelial cell and islet cell of the alloxan diabetic rats. The possible roles of these cells in the regeneration of the islet β cell after alloxan diabetes are considered.en_US
