Abstract

Ferrous compound was used as a free oxygen absorber (FOA). It was prepared from the chemical reaction of ferrous sulfate and sodium hydroxide under nitrogen atmosphere. The condition of reaction was investigated to obtain a product of high absorbing activity. A kinetic study was done when FOA was exposed to the air and the efficacy was tested. © 1993, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. All rights reserved.
