Abstract
Three new isomeric furanocoumarins named feroniellic acids A-C (1-3) were isolated from the BuOH extract of Feroniella lucida roots. They are diastereomerically different to each other in configuration at C-2″ and C-3″. The structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data while their configurations were established by synthesis of model compounds together with application of Mosher's method. © 2008 Elsevier Ltd.
