โรคเรื้อรัง การสูญเสียฟันและคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุ ตําบลเมืองเก่า อําเภอเมือง จังหวัดสุโขทัย

Abstract

ประเทศไทยมีลักษณะทางประ ชากรที่เป็นสังคมผู้สูงอายุ พบได้ว่า ผู้สูงอายุมักจะมีปัจจัยเสี่ยงทางพฤติกรรมที่ก่อให้เกิดโรคเรื้อรังสะสมมานานตั้งแต่วัยหนุ่มสาว โดยโรคเรื้อรังจะมีผลกระทบต่อคุณภาพชีวิตในวัยสูงอายุ การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ที่จะศึกษาบทบาทของโรคเรื้อรังและสภาวะช่องปากที่มีผลต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุในจังหวัดสุโขทัยในภาคเหนือตอนล่างของประเทศไทย จำนวน 260 คนโดยใช้แบบสอบถามคุณภาพชีวิต SF-36 ฉบับภาษาไทย เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์ระหว่างเดือนมกราคม ถึงเดือนมีนาคม 2556 ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ผู้สูงอายุกลุ่มนี้มีอายุเฉลี่ย 68.15+11.58 ปีมีความชุกของโรคความดันโลหิตสูงร้อยละ 57.0 และมีผู้ที่มีฟันแท้ที่ใช้งานได้มากกว่า 20 ซี่ร้อยละ 29.4 พบคะแนนเฉลี่ยคุณภาพชีวิตด้านร่างกาย ซึ่งต้องปรับปรุง (48.53+11.33) และด้านจิตใจถือว่าอยู่ในระดับดี (60.18+1.72) ปัจจัยที่มีความสัมพันธ์ที่ทำให้คุณภาพชีวิตด้านร่างกายที่ลดลงได้แก่ อายุที่เพิ่มขึ้น ปัจจัยที่มีผลทำให้คุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุทั้งด้านร่างกายและด้านจิตใจลดลงได้แก่ การมีโรคไขข้ออักเสบ ปัจจัยที่ทำให้คุณภาพชีวิตด้านจิตใจดีได้แก่ จำนวนซี่ของการใส่ฟันปลอม การส่งเสริมสุขภาพในชุมชนสำหรับผู้สูงอายุควรมุ่งเน้นที่การลด อาการและภาระโรคเรื้อรัง เพื่อให้ผู้สูงอายุมีสุขภาพร่างกายและจิตใจที่ดี และมีชีวิตที่มีความสุข

Thailand is now facing an ageing society. The elderly usually have chronic diseasethat effects their quality of life. This cross sectional study aimed to determine prevalence and relationships between several chronic diseases and the quality of life among 260 elderly in Sukothai province, located in the lower, northern part of Thailand. The Thai version of the SF-36 questionnaire was used to interview elderly from January to March 2013. This group of elderly had a mean age of 68.15+11.58 years, a prevalence of hypertension of 57.0%, with 29.4% having 20 or more remaining functional teeth. Mean scores for physical health indicated a need for improvement (48.53+11.33), while mental health scores were rated good (60.18+1.72). Factors related to decreased mean scores for physical health and mental health included having arthritis. While increased age decreased physical health, an increased number of false teeth increased mean score for mental health. Efforts to maximize the health and functional capacity of older people should be made through community health promotion activities and social participation.which boosts positive factors like good dental health
